The photo on the right was taken by Helen today, Sunday 9th September 2012, Nick and his dad walking in the garden. Nick will be 18 tomorrow.
We were going to take the photo tomorrow on his birthday but the forecast is not good so we’ve done it today on the eve of Nick’s 18th birthday. Helen has to go to Scotland tomorrow evening for work, an early start on Tuesday, so that leaves us here. So Nick and I are going to the pub, the Wellington in Riding Mill, for a meal and I’ll buy him a pint! It doesn’t seem that long since I brought him home from the hospital!
I’m getting old.
